Introduction
• In these Terms of Service, “I, me, my” and “myself” refers to the Artist. “You” and “your” refers to all existing and potential Clients.
• By commissioning me, you agree to abide by the following Terms of Service.
• “WiP Sketch” refers to commission pieces that are works in progress before they are finished.
• By commissioning me, you acknowledge that you are only paying me for my artistic labor.
• If you have any questions you may reach out to me at [email protected].
• These terms may be subject to change without notice. (Last updated 04/24/2024)
1.) Ordering
All potential clients must be at least 18 years old to order.
If accepted, a description of concept is required. Please be sure to include all necessary and relevant details to minimize revisions.
If accepted, at least one reference or link thereof may be required for specific characters and/or poses. Any commission orders involving original characters (OCs) must include at least one character reference. Commission orders without at least one OC-reference will be instantly rejected.
You may refer to my Commission Price Guide for a general idea for the cost of your commission. By commissioning me, you acknowledge that the prices listed in my Price Guide are not final and all prices on commissions will vary based on complexity. These prices are not negotiable.
I will not accept commissions that involve drawing in a different artist’s style. All commissions made by me will be drawn in my own style.
Commissions will not be taken on a “first come, first serve” basis.
I do not accept reservations for commission slots. Clients who have paid for their commission first will be given higher priority over any clients who have not.
I retain the right to refuse service to any potential client for any reason.
I retain the right to cancel a commission at any time.

2.) Payment
All payments are accepted as only USD (U.S. Dollars) through Square (point-of-sale system).
No payments will be accepted until you have received confirmation that your order is accepted.
If accepted, you will receive an invoice through email. An upfront payment is required before I begin working on your commission.
You have the option to pay a nonrefundable 30% down payment of the total cost for me to begin production on your commission. After the WiP Sketch is finished and receives final approval, any remaining payment must be made prior to the commission’s completion.
Clients who have paid for their commission will be given higher priority over those who have not. If your commission was accepted and you have not submitted an upfront payment within 2 weeks after receiving your invoice, your commission will be scrapped.
3.) Refunds
You may receive a full refund if you have already paid for your commission and I have not been able to start it due to unforeseen circumstances.
If you have already paid for your commission beyond the 30% non-refundable down payment, you may still receive a partial refund if I have started on your commission, but I am unable to finish it or if you need to cancel it.
The client waives all rights to a refund after giving approval upon receiving WiP Sketch for the commission, thereby making all sales final.
4.) Communications
Communications and updates are made through either Discord or email.
Please do not send my any direct messages asking for a commission. I will reach out to you through your listed email address from your commission form.
Common courtesy and respect is expected during the commission process. Threats, harassment, and any form of uncivil behavior will not be tolerated and may result in the cancellation of your commission, as well as you being blacklisted. In which case, you may be partially refunded if you have already paid in-full. Depending on the situation, I may cancel your commission without offering a refund. All clients that have been blacklisted will be instantly rejected for any commissions in the future.
Finished commissions will be delivered via email.
Please keep in mind that I am taking these commissions in my free time while working a full-time job and dealing with affairs in my personal life. It may take a few hours to 1 day for me to reply depending on most-current circumstances.
5.) Revisions
No revisions may be made after you have given final approval of the WiP Sketch.
The degree of any requested edits and changes to a commission will be determined by me, the Artist.
Changes considered “minor” (Example: changing hand-gestures) are free of charge. Changes considered “drastic” (Example: drawing a character all over again in a completely different pose) may result in additional fees. In which case, all additional fees must be paid before any further progress may made.
6.) Copyright Policy
As the Artist, I retain the full rights to all commissioned artwork that I have produced, as well as the right to post/publish any and all commissioned artwork I have produced anywhere on social media and/or any form of print of my choosing. I do not accept private commissions.
You do not have the right to claim any commissioned artwork produced by me as your own.
You have the right to post artwork you have commissioned from me on your social media platforms. Giving credit to me is not required, but encouraged.
All commissioned artwork produced by me is for personal use only. You do not have permission alter, trace, reproduce, distribute, or sell any commissioned artwork made by me for commercial-use or profit (including non-fungible-tokens or any form of crypto-currency).
I do not permit any commissioned artwork that I have produced to be used for training or testing any software that involves the use artificial intelligence.

About Me
Brett Heuer
lives & works in Saint Louis, MO
Since I was a child, growing up in the golden age of animation in the 90s, I knew early on that drawing cartoons and comics was what I wanted to do with my life. During my years at the University of Missouri - St. Louis, I worked as a volunteer comic strip artist for the student newspaper, The Current. My art has been heavily influenced by the brilliant work of many artists, including Charles M. Jones, Disney and Don Bluth. Today, I continue to enhance my skill-set and artwork in the hopes of working as a character designer, animator and comic artist. In 2020, I started my own short story webcomic, Divsion of Animals, which can be found on WEBTOON.I'm currently open for freelance work!
